The murals at Betelgeuse Montrose span three exterior surfaces: the back wall of the building, the north-facing side, and the ceiling of the overhang leading to the front entrance.

The client’s brief called for a collection of pop-culture science fiction references woven throughout the murals. On the back wall, the names of notable science fiction authors appear on tombstones within a floating graveyard, while the ceiling overhang is filled with hidden references to iconic science fiction films, inviting viewers to discover them as they enter the building.
